            Our customer, TDK Electrical, had an imported trailer that broke under the pressure of his constant use. His trailer was built using traditional RHS Box section steel, overtime, it proved vulnerable to wear and tear, eventually weakening to the point where it cracked.

            180mm x 65mm x 5mm is a massive upgrade in size from the traditional 75mm x 50mm x 3mm or 150mm x 50mm x 5mm box section used in most trailers.

    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
          
             Not only is 350 Grade steel more resistant to wear and corrosion, but the C-Section design also allows for more flexibility, full weld access and full wiring and bolt access.

        &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The open chassis design also means the chassis can be thoroughly sandblasted, primed and powder coated, inside and out, for superior long-term durability.

           Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB1) will no longer be accepted as an alternate method of compliance for new trailers.
          &#xD;

            Side-marker lamps
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Trailers longer than 6000mm must have side-marker lamps.

             This system must cause the immediate application for the brakes should the trailer become disconnected from the tow vehicle.
            &#xD;

      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The brakes must remain applied for at least 15 minutes under these circumstances.

            The mudguard must extend at least as far forward as a position indicated by a vertical line placed at the leading edge of the tyre.

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The mudguard must extend at least as far rearwards and downwards as a position indicated by a horizontal line placed 230mm above the road.

             Note: The 230mm rear clearance dimension can include the use of a mud flap. For off-road vehicles, this clearance can be increased to 300mm. This requirement does not apply if the mudguard extends to a point within an area formed by the ground and a line drawn at 20 degrees upwards from the contact point of the tyre with the ground.

            The information must be embossed, indentend, etched or engraved in English, using block letters and numerals not less than 2.5mm high.

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The plate must include the manufacturer's name, or vehicle make, vehicle identification number (VIN), aggregate trailer mas (ATM), gross trailer mass (GTM), and tare mass.

           The Ox Trailer chassis profile is 180mm x 65mm x 5mm 350 grade C-Section Channel.
          &#xD;

    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The 350-grade steel used is higher tensile strength than the usual box section (RHS). With a greater mix percentage of Cobalt (gives a higher elasticity ratio) and lesser mix of Iron (less prone to rust), the physical properties of the steel make it give a stronger resistance to wear and tear.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This high-strength profile is the backbone of our trailers and is also used for strengthening cross members. This allows the chassis to flex and move when it negotiates rough road terrain.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Traditionally, trailer chassis frames are built from a formed-closed box section with the standard chassis profile size for a 3.5t trailer being between 75mm x 50mm x 3mm and 150mm x 50mm x 5mm 250 grade steel.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You cannot access the inside of the frame with any protective coatings meaning it is vulnerable to weathering, rust and corrosion which inevitably leads to the weakening of the drawbar and the chassis. This is typically known as the area where the front of the tray or load area meets the drawbar/chassis.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            This area of the trailer is subjected to intense pressure from the forces of motion, which include pulling, pushing, lateral, vertical and torsional forces. The Drawbar/Chassis is a critical engineering aspect that must be executed correctly.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

            Secure the towball by activating the safety latch which securely fits the coupling over the tow ball.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           The handle gets pushed downwards until it can spring latch on itself as pictured.

           slide the extension onto itself

           , until just one hole remains and securely latch the pin back in.

           Do this by pulling the pin on the holder on the drawbar.
          
                    &#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
                        
            There are
           
                      &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           4 holes - 1 set is vertical and 1 set is horizontal.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
                        
            Pull the pin out of the vertical position and rotate the jack stand till it is horizontal and in line with the chassis.
           
                      &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           Re-install the pin into the horizontal holes and securely latch.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

            Secure the trailer once more to the tow vehicle by forming a 'cradle' with the trailer chains.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           The chains must diagonally cross over one another to latch onto the hooks of the tow vehicle.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
                        
            This forms a cradle that can catch the trailer coupling in the unlikely event it releases from the ball and will
           
                      &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           prevent it from hitting the road or completely coming loose.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

            This must also be hooked onto the tow vehicle.
           
                      &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
                        
            This ensures that if the chains were to come loose, the trailer would

           pull
